Massage Therapy
Massage Therapy is the manual manipulation of the body’s soft tissue which enhances muscle and joint function, improves circulation of blood and lymph nodes and helps relieve pain. Different techniques are designed to rehabilitate, improve and maintain physical function.
Massage Therapists are trained in Swedish techniques and in postural and ergonomic education. They also study orthopaedic physical assessments, specific deep tissue techniques and remedial exercise.
Within the Eastern Rehabilitation network our Registered Massage Therapists work in conjunction with other health care professionals to achieve a multidisciplinary approach to treatment. This comprehensive therapy has been successful in helping our clients to recover and resume full activity.
